Virtual/telehealth appointments (excluding initial psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring visits) will be available beginning in April.

For pricing details, please see this page. For the services above that are reimbursable via insurance (psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring, and psychotherapy), we will post details about insurances we accept — return to the page for updates about this. In instances where Lissa is an out of network provider, not accepting your insurance, we can provide a superbill for clients to submit to their insurance companies for possible reimbursement.

~Lissa only prescribes psychiatric medications when indicated (it’s your choice) and is conservative with regards to prescribing controlled substances. Medical clearance (including labwork) will be requested prior to prescribing medication.

~It is recommended that physical clearance is obtained prior to engaging in physical activity. All clients will be asked to sign a movement liability waiver.

~A variety of approaches to meditation and mindful movement exist and not each approach is appropriate for everyone. We can discuss potential options that would be a good match for your needs and your history.

~Lissa can integrate nutritional counseling into appointments to assist with improved wellness overall but for people who require detailed nutritional guidance alone, we can assist you in finding a nutritionist or dietitian who likely could better serve your needs.

~At EHM, Lissa provides psychotherapy and medication monitoring to individuals over the age of 10, always exploring non-pharmacological options first. Lissa offers meditation and mindful movement interventions to people of all ages.

~For children and adolescents age 10 – 18, it is important for there to be an agreement between the client and the parents allowing Lissa to share general information about the treatment process and to gain consent for medications.

In case of emergency, please go to your local emergency room, call 911, or in less urgent situations, visit/call your local crisis screening center –click here for a list of screening centers in NJ.
